안녕하세요,
"It's already November! As we conclude the year 2023, I pray that all the families and businesses in the children's ministry are filled with gratitude and fruitful moments during this time. In Lesson 30), we learned about the final scene in Exodus when the Tabernacle was built. It might have seemed uninteresting, but I am thankful the children listened intently. Next week, we will continue to learn about the priest's garments and the sacrifices. I hope you have enjoyable moments with the children, sharing the joyful Word of God.
30) 'Tabernacle was built.' (Exodus35:20-40)
When Moses was on Mount Sinai, God instructed him to build a place(Tabernacle) where God could live among them because God wanted to be with His people. The Tabernacle was made of materials that could be moved as they traveled through the wilderness. These precious materials, like gold, silver, bronze, fabrics, leather, olive oil, spices, etc., were given by the Egyptians when the Israelites left Egypt. They voluntarily brought these things to Moses.
God had told Moses that Bezalel(브살렐) and Oholiab(오홀리압), two fine craftsmen, should be put in charge of the work. They were filled with the Spirit of God. The Tabernacle consisted of a courtyard including 20 posts and finely twisted linen curtains. The entrance of the Tabernacle was always pitched, facing east. Curtains of finely embroidered blue, purple, scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen were made for the entrance. There were six pieces of furniture in the Tabernacle: a square altar of burnt offering, a large bronze wash basin, a table with 12 loaves of bread, a lampstand shaped like almond flowers, an altar of incense, and the Ark of Covenant.
On the 1st day of the 1st month of the 2nd year, the Tabernacle was erected. (Exodus 40:17) In all the travels of the Israelites, the cloud of the lord was over the Tabernacle by day and the fire of God by night. God's presence remained with them wherever they were.
"The church(tabernacle) is Jesus' body; the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way." (Ephesians1:23). From this verse, we can realize that the Tabernacle of Moses is Jesus' body and every piece of the furniture signifies Jesus Christ.
